Timaree Hagenburger is a registered dietitian with a master's degree in public health. She also is a nutrition professor at Cosumnes River Community College in Sacramento and a food lover who likes sharing tips and tricks on how to enjoy fresh California fruits and vegetables. Juicy, delicious nectarines are low in calories (a medium-sized nectarine has about 40 calories), contain no saturated fats and are packed with numerous health-promoting antioxidants, nutrients, minerals and vitamins. Plus, they are a great source of dietary fiber, which is important for maintaining overall health.
