Lucky Dog Ranch New York strip steak with grilled Yukon Gold potatoes and fire-roasted tomato
Ingredients
2 small Yukon Gold potatoes
2 tbsp. olive oil
Salt, to taste
Coarse sea salt, to taste
1 (14-oz.) New York strip steak
1 vine-ripened tomato
6 sprigs rosemary
Directions
Slice potatoes about 1/4-inch thick and place in a large bowl. Drizzle with olive oil and sprinkle with salt; set aside. Sprinkle sea salt on steak and grill to desired doneness. While steak is cooking, place potatoes in a low-heat spot directly on the grates of the grill and cook on both sides about 5 minutes, or until tender. Slice tomato in half and place both halves on grill until lightly charred. After steak is done, cut into slices about 1/2-inch thick. Place steak slices on the left side of each plate, with tomato half in the center of the plate. Place potato slices above the tomato and garnish with rosemary.
