Grilled swordfish with lemon caper sauce
Restaurateur Fabrizio Cercatore
Passione Emporio on 5th, Berkeley
This was a favorite dish of Fabrizio Cercatore’s grandfather. The combination of succulent swordfish and the zesty notes of the lemon caper sauce beautifully encapsulates the warmth of tradition and Cercatore’s family connections.
Ingredients
2 swordfish steaks (6 to 8 oz. each)
2 tbsp. olive oil
Salt and pepper, to taste
Lemon caper sauce
2 tbsp. capers, drained and rinsed
2 tbsp. fresh lemon juice
2 tbsp. chopped fresh parsley
2 tbsp. olive oil
Salt and pepper, to taste
Instructions
Preheat a grill or grill pan over medium-high heat. Brush swordfish with olive oil and season with salt and pepper. Grill swordfish for 4 to 5 minutes per side or until cooked through and grill marks appear.
