Sangria
Chef Hank Guerrero
The Barn and Pantry, Dixon
Sangria is a "do-your-own-thing" beverage, Guerrero said. This version takes advantage of the juicy stone fruit that's plentiful this time of year, but it can be made with any fruit you have on hand.
Ingredients
1 (750-ml.) bottle dry red, rosé, white or sparkling wine
1/3 cup orange juice
1/4 cup sugar
1/8 cup lime juice
2 stone fruits of choice (peaches, nectarines, apricots), cubed
1 pint strawberries, sliced
Optional: watermelon chunks, blackberries, raspberries, mint, basil
Directions
Mix all ingredients in a large pitcher and chill. Serve over ice with fruit garnish.
