Bacon-wrapped prunes (aka "Devils on horseback")
This three-ingredient recipe is a party in your mouth!
Bacon-wrapped prunes (aka "Devils on horseback")

Ingredients

1 package whole, pitted California prunes
1/2 cup crumbled blue cheese, rolled into tiny balls
8 to 10 slices bacon, cut crosswise into thirds

Directions

Preheat broiler. Cut a small slit in the side of each prune and carefully push a ball of cheese into the prune. Gently smooth the prune back around the cheese if you can. Wrap a piece of bacon around each stuffed prune, covering the cheese, and secure with a toothpick if necessary. Place stuffed, wrapped prunes on a broiler pan with a rack. Broil 4 to 6 inches from the heat source for 9 to 12 minutes or until the bacon is crisp, turning twice during the cooking time. Watch carefully so they don't burn. Remove from broiler and let sit for a few minutes to cool before serving.
