Tomales Farmstead Creamery

Tamara Hicks always had a passion for agriculture, but it wasn't until she and her husband purchased their Marin County dairy in 2003 that she realized how much she truly loved it. They now have 200 goats and 100 sheep at Tomales Farmstead Creamery, their farm and creamery in Tomales. They use all the goat and sheep milk at their dairy to make fresh and aged cheeses to sell at their other passion: their San Francisco eatery, the Daily Driver.

Opened in 2019, Daily Driver is San Francisco's only modern-day creamery. The couple figured since most folks in the Bay Area can't make it out to a dairy, they'd do the next best thing by bringing the dairy to them. So, they work with their fellow Marin County dairy producers to bring their milk to the Bay Area to be made into a variety of products.

The creamery is nearly 3,000 square feet and serves breakfast and lunch to a growing community in the new Dogpatch neighborhood of the city. It also has a large window so customers can see fresh butter and cream cheese, from local dairies, being made right in front of them!
