4 cups apricot halves
¼ cup white sugar
¾ cup brown sugar
½ cup all-purpose flour
½ cup butter
¾ cup rolled oats
½ cup slivered almonds (optional)
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Arrange apricot halves in a 9x13 baking dish and sprinkle with white sugar. Mix together brown sugar and flour in a bowl. Cut in butter with a pastry cutter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Lightly stir in rolled oats and spoon the mixture over the apricots.
Bake for 35 to 40 minutes, or until the fruit is soft and the topping is brown and crisp.
