Jan./Feb. 2013 California Bountiful magazine

What makes it distinctive? Find out!

The largest county in the contiguous United States by area, San Bernardino County is known for sparsely populated deserts, mountains, year-round recreational opportunities and the historic U.S. Route 66 that meanders through it all. Agriculture is equally diverse, with farmers providing foods such as milk, beef and eggs, along with a variety of ornamental plants.

Farm Artisan Foods, Redlands
The name of the restaurant conveys chef/founder Roberto Argentina's goal of using only peak-of-season ingredients from local farms. The plate shown is a delicious example: the vegetables that accompany this grass-fed California beef are grown within 5 miles of Redlands.
